1990 - An A-7E of the VA-27 Royal Maces on approach wearing the squadrons final A-7 paint scheme. The sawtooth pattern on the rudder which had previously disappeared after 1981 was used one final time before the squadron transitioned to the F/A-18A Hornet. (Image Source - US Navy)
